Overview for Alabama

For the 2020-21 school year, the Alabama State Department of Education (ALSDE) collected quarterly district-level data on learning model and student enrollment by learning model. ALSDE also collected 2020-21 monthly school-level learning model information for P-EBT purposes. COVID-19 case data for the state’s schools or districts are not currently available. Data on when and if districts had masking policies in place for staff or students are available for districts that responded to the COVID-19 School Data Hub Masking Survey (note that a state-level mask mandate was in effect until April 9, 2021).
